Alex Street

Alex was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2004 in Victoria where he worked for one of the big four Australian law firms. Alex first worked in the firm's product liability law practice. Here Alex gained experience in the defence of product liability claims in areas as diverse as pharmaceuticals, agriculture and motor vehicle manufacture. He also worked on major litigation in the Anti-trust area. Alex was then promoted to become the State Manager of the Victorian Legal Technology Support department.

In 2007 Alex went to work for an Australian based investment house dealing with litigious and risk management issues, as well as advising on venture capital funding. During this time Alex added to his experience in large scale and complex dispute resolution, in particular his expertise in the area of electronic discovery and the retention and preparation of expert witnesses. He also gained valuable experience in advising clients on the steps that can be taken to minimise litigation risk and improve the chances of a client obtaining a satisfactory outcome in the event that a contentious matter arises.

Alex has a proven track record in providing advice in relation to private and public start up business particularly in the areas of venture and Angel capital investing. His commercial experience in this sector, coupled with his expertise in litigation risk management has resulted in many of his clients being able to efficiently minimise their litigation risk exposure.

Alex prides himself on working closely with clients and providing straight forward, practical and sound advice. He works closely with the firm's Principal Chris Finn and the firm's other professionals. As with all members of the firm, Alex is passionate about adding value to the firm's clients' business whilst minimising cost.

Alex obtained honours in his law degree and is admitted to the Victorian and New South Wales Supreme Courts as well as the High Court of Australia.
